Gemotions

The wind chimes tinkled softly as he crossed the lawn. He grabbed the mail, a familiar stack of mostly uninteresting items. A pale envelope stood out, devoid of any markings. He simply grinned, then placed it upon the kitchen counter.

He began making himself a cup of tea, carefully measuring the leaves into the strainer. The warmth of the water, the gentle rising steam. A deep breath. He leaned against the counter, letting the familiar routine wash over him. The world felt balanced, each element in perfect harmony.
